Powerful Moms Who Care
Powerful Moms Who Care (PWMC) is a nonprofit, grassroots organization of mothers and caretakers, advocating for safer and healthier communities. With low- to moderate-income families at the forefront of our advocacy work. We are fighting to create change that ensures equality and sustainability for families.
We do this by focusing on increasing the availability of affordable housing, childcare, healthcare, education, and transportation. By building a membership of individuals who have experience with homelessness, shelter living, disabilities, single parenthood, and navigating complex and often unjust systems for survival and basic needs. We are led by our community organizer, members, and elected board members.
